In Iceland`s Vatnajökull National Park, a film crew accompanied a ranger, explorers and adventurers “behind the scenes” for a year. Iceland`s largest national park lures with fire and ice. It is a young park of superlatives: The Dettifoss is one of the largest waterfalls on the continent. The glacier ice is piling up about 900 meters over most active volcanoes. Hot lava and thick ice meet each other directly. The landscape at Vatnajökull is constantly changing. Founded in 2008, it is one of the youngest national parks of our Earth and one  of the most fascinating.

The film displays the role of forest and wetland areas in the water circulation process and in the preservation of biodiversity. Pomeranian marshes are the refuge for many endangered species of animals and plants. Their fate depends on the survival of those refuges in as unaltered form as it is possible. In Pomerania, as well as in other parts of the country, we need more and more active forms of nature protection in order to protect those regions from the ongoing climate changes and the anthropopressure process.

Mysterious hooks, rocky monuments – mighty remnants of ancient volcanic activity, forests and ancient woodlands, upland hay meadows and pastures and man-calluses. Sweat, but also sincere joy and above all the pride of those who live on this charming piece of land. All that is Polana! In spite of its fame, it has retained its intimate character for centuries. Documentary film about Polana Biosphere Reserve shows a place which can serve as an example of sustainable life, acceptable balance and a mutually beneficial relationship between man and the natural environment

The migration of plants and animals. Their spread is a natural phenomenon that has always existed. These days, this process is accelerated and living creatures can come from one continent to another in almost no time. Many species arrive. Most of them will disappear without a trace. However, some of them will start reproducing…
The non-native animals are hiding – in the canopy, in the soil, in the water – for decades without being noticed. Unlike them, the representatives of flora conquer in plain sight. Widely spread plants appear mainly in disturbed areas such as abandoned fields, ditches, coasts and on the sites of clear cut areas. From there they spread to the surrounding natural grasslands, forests and groves. Some of them got here accidentally, while others were brought on purpose.
Invasive species occupy the habitat, demand food and carry diseases.
The native wildlife is facing major challenges

The film tells the story of the dipper, whose survival is interlined with the constant change of seasons. The hero of our story, whose natural habitat is the forest and the river, shares his environment with other bird species, such as the robin, the blackbird or the kingfisher. Surrounded by the sounds of the river, the dipper and his neighbors follow the rhythms of nature – they mate, they nest, they feed. However, the nature is not always that calm and idle. Amongst the shadows, the threat is always present.

Short film about „murmurations” – the mysterious flights of the Common Starling. It is still unknown how the thousands of birds are able to fly in such dense swarms without colliding. Every night the starlings gather at dusk to perform their stunning air show.

Because of the relatively warm winter of 2014/2015, the starlings stayed in the Netherlands instead of migrating southwards. This gave the filmmaker Jan van IJken the opportunity to film one of the most spectacular and amazing phenomena on Earth.

Over the years the way we perceive forests has changed – in the past, the forests just were there and we took whatever we needed from them without considering the future consequences. In time, a new approach has been developed – forest economy, which concerns matters such as the proper usage of wood. Even though we live in an era of glass, aluminum and modern technologies, we still need wood. Surprisingly, the more modern is the technology, the more wood it requires. Poland is the leader in the subject of renewal of forest areas and proper management of forest resources.

The headline Caddis, related to butterflies, seems to be common. Meanwhile, it is an evolutionary phenomenon, one of the most extraordinary creatures on Earth - exceptional through its genetic code to broaden its organism by building a case. It lives in the river, backwaters and streams. It is a natural water purity sensor. Sensitive camera gradually uncovers usually unnoticeable, fragile beauty of the world of the Caddies. This film is a journey into the nature, towards the mystery of life.
